Hosted at the private Buffalo Butte Ranch in Gregory, South Dakota, this three-day long-range shooting school is designed to take you from zero to confident, repeatable impacts at 1,000 yards on steel. Guided by experienced instructors Chris Opfer and Travis Stevens in a controlled, professional environment, the course blends disciplined fundamentals with real-world application—building skill, confidence, and consistency at distance.

Class size is intentionally limited to ensure focused instruction, meaningful range time, and a refined training experience.

What should I bring?

We’ll provide the rifles, ammunition, and expert instruction — but for your comfort and performance, please bring:

• Hearing protection and eye protection
• Outdoor clothing suitable for spring weather
• A rangefinder, binoculars, and a spotting scope (plus tripod) if you have them — these tools will enhance your ability to read wind, spot impacts, and record data during instruction.
